Code Violation Repairs

Commercial property owners are subject to Houston Occupancy Inspections to ensure that the electrical system in the building, or buildings, meets current standards. After such an inspection, a report is issued specifying the code violations found. The building owner has a fixed amount of time to correct the violations. If these violations are not rectified, an inspector has the authority to shut down access to the building until the violations are corrected. Fines may also be administered.

Code Compliance

At LMS Electrical, we have handled many code compliance projects. Work of this nature can take a few hours to several weeks, depending on the scope of the violation, or violations. If you have been “written up”, do not wait to act on this at the last minute. Call us and fax or e-mail the violation document to us. We will then call you back to schedule a walk through survey at your location to determine the cost of work involved in becoming compliant as well as the timetable involved.
